STMicroelectronics in Sweden is seeking a Software Engineer to join the STM32Cube Ecosystem Tools team. You will contribute to backend and core software components for STM32 tools in an agile, international environment.

Bring expertise in Rust, C++, JavaScript and TypeScript to implement features, analyze complex issues, and write automated tests. Collaboration across ST sites and strong English skills are essential, with additional French or Arabic considered a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Strong foundations in software development and backend systems.
• Experience with Rust and/or C++ and JavaScript/TypeScript is highly valued.

Our technology starts with you.As a Software Engineer within the STM32Cube Ecosystem Tools team, you will contribute to the development of software building blocks for the STM32Cube ecosystem. You will join an agile, international team responsible for tools used by millions of STM32 users, such as STM32CubeMX2 , STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code , as well as STM32CubeCLI .Daily ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend and core software components for STM32 tools.Implement features and enhancements in Rust, C++, JavaScript, and TypeScript .Perform in-depth analysis of complex technical issues, identify root causes, and propose robust solutions.Contribute to tooling infrastructures (package management, configurations, internal APIs).Work in a structured and methodical manner, ensuring code quality and maintainability.Collaborate within an Agile/Scrum team (planning, daily stand-ups, reviews).Conduct code reviews, write automated tests, and participate in continuous improvement activities.Communicate effectively and collaborate with teams across multiple ST sites (Sweden, France, etc.).Profile and Required SkillsBachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.Strong foundations in software development and backend systems .Strong analytical skills and a passion for deeply understanding technical topics .Ability to work in a rigorous, structured, and organized manner.Initiative, autonomy, and a strong sense of responsibility.Comfortable working in a team environment with good communication skills .Experience with, or strong interest in:Rust and/or C++JavaScript / TypeScriptSTM32Cube EcosystemKnowledge of:Git and software development workflowsLinux or cross-platform environmentsAgile development methodologiesProfessional proficiency in English.Proficiency in French and Arabic are beneficial.ST is proud to be one of the 17 companies certified as a 2025 Global Top Employer and the first and only semiconductor company to achieve this distinction.
