Job description

Job Description

CardsAffinity is currently modernising its core insurance platform through the implementation of Guidewire Cloud Insurance Suite. To support this transformation, we are looking for two Software Developers to join our Nordic IT Core Systems team.

About the role |

As a Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining business-critical solutions. Working in a cross-functional team together with System Business Developers, you will help translate business needs into scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions that create value for our customers and partners.

We are supporting an agile business and focus is on increasing agile ways of working, with increased ownership, closer business collaboration, and faster delivery cycles. We are therefore looking for developers who enjoy contributing not only to technical solutions, but also to continuous improvement of how we work as a team.

In this position you will:

  • Developing, configuring, and maintaining Guidewire-based solutions.
  • Building and maintaining integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Participating throughout the entire solution lifecycle, from design and development to testing, deployment, and support.
  • Troubleshooting issues and driving sustainable technical solutions.
  • Collaborating closely with business stakeholders, System Business Developers, and fellow developers.
  • Contributing to quality assurance, best practices, and continuous improvement of our development processes and agile ways of working.

The role is based in our centrally located Stockholm office. We value collaboration and typically work from the office most days of the week, as we believe physical presence strengthens teamwork, stakeholder engagement, and knowledge sharing, while also working closely with colleagues across Sweden and Denmark.

We offer you a position in a strong and international team of highly skilled and dedicated IT experts and we hope to find an equally engaged addition to the team with one of the highest job satisfaction.

Your profile

We are looking for a curious and collaborative developer who enjoys solving complex problems and turning business needs into robust technical solutions.

You thrive in a team environment, take ownership of your work, and are motivated by learning new technologies and continuously improving both solutions and ways of working.

To be successful in this role we see that you have:

  • A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, Gosu.
  • Experience working with APIs and system integrations (REST/SOAP).
  • Experience with modern development practices and version control tools such as Git.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working in agile development environments.

It is an advantage if you also have:

  • Experience with Guidewire Insurance Suite or Guidewire Cloud Platform.
  • Experience from the P&C insurance industry.
  • Knowledge of cloud-native architectures and modern integration patterns.
  • English is mandatory, but Swedish or Nordic language will simplify your days.
  • Experience in SQL
