Job summary

Lyten in Sweden seeks an experienced process engineer to develop, characterize and sustain wet electrode slurry mixing and precision coating for lithium-ion battery electrodes. You will define parameters, monitor rheology, achieve target viscosity, thickness uniformity, and ensure manufacturability and cost targets.

5+ years in high-volume manufacturing, expertise in rheology, DOE, and Six Sigma are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing with slurry prep and precision coating.
• Knowledge of rheology, viscometry, and characterization techniques; SPC proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Slurry Process Optimization: Define, monitor, and control mixing parameters to achieve target rheology, viscosity, and solids content.
• Coating Process Control: Tune coating parameters to ensure consistent active material loading, thickness, and density.
• DOE & Process Characterization: Lead DOE studies to establish robust process windows and qualification limits.
• Quality & Troubleshooting: Act as SME for coating defects and lead root cause analysis with CAPA.
• Equipment & Automation: Define specs for mixers, pumps, coaters, and inline metrology equipment.
• Operations Support: Participate in continuous improvement and shop-floor trials.
