Job summary

Linuxcareers is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer in Stockholm to join the central platform team responsible for building and operating the infrastructure that powers the engineering organization. The role focuses on reliability, scalability, and security.

You will manage GKE clusters, develop CI/CD pipelines and improve networking, ensuring systems' access control and operational stability. A solid grasp of Kubernetes, Terraform, and networking fundamentals are essential.

Qualifications

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will join the central platform team responsible for building and operating the infrastructure that powers the entire engineering organization, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and security.

What You’ll Do

• Build and operate GKE clusters, custom controllers, and Terraform‑defined cloud infrastructure
• Own the complete path from code commit to production, including CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and progressive‑delivery patterns
• Design and strengthen networking and routing layers, managing VPC traffic, firewalls, and network policies
• Implement and govern access controls across all layers, including IAM, policy‑as‑code, and break‑glass procedures
• Grow platform reliability and observability through alert hygiene, runbooks, SLOs, and production metrics and tracing

What You Need

• Solid grasp of Kubernetes fundamentals including controllers, core components, CNI, and networking
• Expertise in infrastructure as code with Terraform, Helm or Kustomize, CI/CD, and GitOps (ArgoCD)
• Strong networking and access management knowledge covering routing, VPC, firewall, network policies, and IAM
• Operational depth in monitoring fundamentals, distributed systems troubleshooting, and solid Unix/Linux experience
• Active use of AI agents in your own work with clear understanding of where they add leverage versus human judgment

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with GCP and an observability stack with Prometheus, Thanos, and Grafana
• Experience running containerized platforms at scale
• Service mesh experience with Cilium eBPF, Linkerd, or Istio
• Familiarity with platform building blocks like cert‑manager, external‑secrets, or external‑dns
