Job summary

GlobalLogic is seeking a Senior VIL Test Developer to build and maintain Vehicle-in-the-Loop test environments and automated sequences for an automotive OEM client. You will perform hands-on rig work, programming in CAPL and Python, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines in a SAFe/Azure DevOps setup.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in automotive test development, strong CANoe/CANalyzer expertise, and proficient Python scripting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in automotive test development or integration.
• 2+ years with HIL, VIL, Boxcar rigs or complete-vehicle testing.
• Expert in Vector CANoe and CANalyzer, CAPL scripting.
• Strong Python for test automation.
• Deep knowledge of CAN/CAN FD, LIN and Automotive Ethernet (SOME/IP, DoIP).
• Trace analysis with Wireshark.
• UDS/DoIP ECU flashing and DTC handling.
• Mechatronics HW experience.
• ECU log analysis with DLT.
• Vehicle comms architecture knowledge.
• CI/CD: Git and pipelines in Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitLab CI.
• Read electrical schematics and use lab equipment.
• Agile/SAFe with Azure DevOps.
• English B2+.
• Nice to have: DSA/PD tooling, vTESTstudio, Docker, Ansible, Grafana, ISTQB.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test sequences for VIL rigs and vehicles in CAPL and Python.
• Integrate test sequences into CI/CD pipelines with flashing, execution and reporting.
• Operate, maintain and improve VIL environments across HW/SW/networks.
• Trace faults across electrical, mechanical and software domains.
• Handle support tickets, incidents and intake requests; automate recurring tasks.
• Build monitoring and health checks to improve rig stability.
• Review docs and schematics; align changes with the client core team.
• Document features in Azure DevOps Wiki and code; demo results with production data.
• Plan sprint deliveries with the Product Owner and report status.
