Job summary

UMS Skeldar AB is seeking an experienced aviation/UAS professional to lead our flight operations as a UAS Flight Manager, guiding our growing organization and shaping its safety culture.

You will coordinate daily operations with Remote Pilots, Flight Technicians, and engineers, and develop our flight crews, procedures, and risk controls. Travel may be required domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in flight operations management, aviation ops, or similar leadership role.
• Experience with UAS operations and/or military aviation.
• Strong knowledge of aviation regulations and UAS operating requirements.
• Formal Safety Management System (SMS) knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily UAS flight operations with Remote Pilots, Technicians, and engineers.
• Develop flight crews, training, proficiency, and competence programs.
• Drive safety and risk management, including safety reviews and audits.
• Ensure operational readiness by reviewing procedures, records and approvals.
• Interface with authorities, customers, and internal stakeholders on flight activities.
• Foster continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and performance.
