Job summary

SeaPattern Sweden AB is seeking a Senior Mechanical Structural Engineer to lead the structural integrity and reliability of floating hydrokinetic turbine systems. You will drive the structural design from concept to deployment, working with CFD, manufacturing, and testing teams in a demanding marine environment.

The role requires a strong background in structural analysis, FEA, and experience with dynamic loading, fatigue, and corrosion resistance.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in structural analysis/CAE engineering.

Responsibilities

Perform structural analyses and finite element simulations (FEA) to validate and optimize designs.
Develop structural designs for turbine systems and supporting components.
Select materials based on structural performance, corrosion resistance, fatigue life, and manufacturability.
Collaborate with mechanical design engineers to ensure integration of structural and mechanical systems.
Define and support structural testing, validation, and verification activities.
Evaluate structural performance through simulations, lab testing, and field validation.
Drive design improvements based on testing and feedback.
Support design reviews and engineering decision-making.
Continuously improve structural design methodologies and tools.
