Job summary

CorPower Ocean AB is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join the team that develops large welded steel structures for offshore wave energy converters. You will drive concept development through testing and production release, performing structural analyses and delivering robust technical documentation.

Ideal candidates have 7+ years of experience with offshore renewables, Creo CAD, and Windchill PLM, and proficient English.

Qualifications

7+ years designing large mechanical systems or welded steel structures.
Experience with heavy mechanical assemblies under dynamic loads.
Proven experience in end-to-end product development cycles.

Responsibilities

Design large mechanical structures and welded steel assemblies from concept to production release.
Present at design reviews to cross-disciplinary stakeholders.
Perform structural analysis (hand calculations and FEA).
Create technical documentation for internal and external verification.
Conduct failure mode and effects analysis for modules and systems.
Manage systems to meet performance, schedule and budget targets.
Identify improvements for performance, reliability and manufacturability.
Coordinate with requirement, supply chain, manufacturing and field-testing teams.
Support assembly, testing and pilot installations in the field.
Mentor junior engineers when needed.
