Job summary

APR Technologies AB in Sweden is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Space to own system architecture, technical baseline and verification strategy for thermal-management products for spacecraft and payloads. You will lead technical decisions across disciplines from customer requirements through qualification and flight readiness.

You will define interfaces, coordinate reviews, and provide direction to design, analysis, and test teams while maintaining ECSS standards and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• At least five years of systems-engineering experience in complex hardware, including direct involvement in a space project.
• Ownership of system architecture, requirements, interfaces and verification planning.
• Fluency in professional English and strong technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop architectures for thermal products for spacecraft, satellite platforms, instruments or payload, ensuring optimal performance for the specific mission conditions.
• Own the system architecture, requirements allocation, bidirectional traceability and controlled technical baseline.
• Define and approve mechanical, thermal, fluidic, electrical and control interfaces.
• Lead trade studies, technical budgets and design decisions across performance, mass, power, reliability and risk.
• Define the verification and qualification strategy, including ICDs, DDVPs, VCDs and design justifications.
• Chair technical reviews and lead integration, anomaly resolution, change-impact assessment and delta qualification.
• Provide technical direction to design, analysis, test, Product Assurance and supplier teams.
