Job summary

Sinch Telco, a standalone business within Sinch, seeks an experienced software engineer focused on AI-driven development to accelerate AI-powered practices across Sinch Telco. You will design, build, verify and deliver software using AI agents, shaping how AI is applied in software development.

You’ll lead by example, spread best practices, and work with product managers to define clear requirements for engineers and AI agents, ensuring long-term stability and maintainability in a fast-moving AI

Sinch Telco is a standalone business within Sinch. Our products propel communications services for mobile operators and enterprises around the globe. We are looking for an experienced software engineer with focus on AI-driven Development, to further accelerate adoption of AI-powered development practices across Sinch Telco.

In this role, you’ll be a hands-on practitioner, leveraging AI agents to design, build, verify and deliver software while shaping how AI is applied in our software development. Together we will move toward a paradigm where software developers manage teams of specialized AI agents for requirements analysis, implementation, testing, documentation, and deployment. We intend to unlock new capabilities that enable teams to build and ship faster with higher quality, security, and maintainability.

You demonstrate value through hands-on work and tangible results. You collaborate well with experienced colleagues as a peer and respect existing domain knowledge while contributing new perspectives and influence through the quality of your work. As our Software Engineer, you will:

• Work in a team as a highly productive, hands-on software engineer, leveraging agents to deliver features and products across multiple areas.
• Lead by example to spread best practices, workflows, and tooling for AI-assisted development in coding, testing, documentation, and deployment.
• Assist in evaluation, selection, and configuration of AI development tools and agent frameworks to improve software development.
• Define clear requirements and product direction with a product management perspective in cooperation with product managers and team members.

REQUIREMENTS

• Extensive software engineering experience, with a proven ability to design, evaluate, and evolve software architectures.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and system complexity. Experience with telecom systems, BSS/OSS, or messaging infrastructure is a plus.
• Hands-on experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot, Cursor, Claude, for production software delivery, not just experimentation.
• Experience working with AI-driven development workflows, including autonomous coding agents and multistep task orchestration.
• Ability to define clear, structured, and decomposable requirements for both engineers and AI agents, with strong product awareness and long-term stability.
• Practical experience with Model Context Protocol. Experience with multi-agent frameworks is a plus.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts, document approaches, and collaborate effectively across teams.
