Job summary

inriver is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our Malmö Engineering team and help scale the inriver platform. You’ll work in the Extendibility domain, building APIs, frameworks and tools that enable customers, partners and internal teams to create integrations and extensions.

You will write code, influence architecture and promote engineering practices, while collaborating across distributed systems, cloud infrastructure and platform automation to deliver reliable, scalable software.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience as a software engineer.
• Strong experience with C# and .NET.
• Hands-on cloud experience with running software in the cloud.
• Experience with Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs and integrations.
• Business-level English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the platform using cloud-native services and platform capabilities in .NET and Azure.
• Design APIs, extension frameworks and developer tooling for customers, partners and internal teams.
• Automate operations with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and observability.
• Lead through technical example with code reviews and mentoring.
• Collaborate across Engineering, SRE, Architecture, Product Management and external partners.

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Engineering team in Malmö and help evolve and scale the inriver platform. You’ll join the Extendibility domain, where we build the APIs, frameworks and tooling that let customers, partners and our own teams create integrations, extensions and custom applications on top of inriver. This role reports into the Sr. Development Manager.

This is a hands‑on role with real technical influence. You’ll write code, shape architecture and help raise the bar for how we build and run software, working across distributed systems, cloud infrastructure and platform automation.

What you will do

Build and evolve the platform

Design and develop cloud-native services and platform capabilities in .NET and Azure. You’ll help modernise existing solutions and make the platform more scalable, reliable and easier to operate.

Make inriver easy to extend and integrate with

Contribute to the design of our APIs, extension frameworks and developer tooling, so that customers, partners and internal teams can build on inriver with confidence. Developer experience is a product in itself, and you’ll treat it that way.

Automate and improve operations

Work with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and observability to improve delivery speed, reliability and visibility into how our systems behave in production.

Lead through technical example

Take part in technical decisions, review code, mentor colleagues and share what you learn. You’ll help set good engineering practices without needing a manager title to do it.

Collaborate across teams

Work closely with Engineering, SRE, Architecture, Product Management and external partners to turn ideas into solutions that work in practice.

Who you are

You’re an experienced engineer who enjoys complex technical problems and gets energy from building platforms and tools that make other engineers more productive. You care about quality, reliability and clean design, and you like working with others to get there.

We don’t expect you to tick every single box, but for this role we do need most of the following:

• 8-10 years of experience as a software engineer
• Strong experience with C# and .NET
• Hands‑on experience building and running software in the cloud
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Good understanding of distributed systems, APIs and integrations
• Business‑level English, written and spoken

Nice to have:

• Experience working with AI, whether building with it or using it in your daily work
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a similar field
• Experience from a PIM company, or from a SaaS or similar product company
