Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior SAP Basis engineer in Sweden to lead Basis activities, manage system operations, and drive cloud-enabled SAP BTP solutions. You will design integration and security features, mentor teams, and ensure platform lifecycle decisions align with business needs.

The role requires hands‑on SAP Basis expertise, RISE experience, and strong English communication skills to collaborate across global teams.

Qualifications

• Academic background in IT.
• Extensive hands‑on SAP Basis experience.
• RISE landscape maintenance experience.
• Proven capability in managing SAP system operations.
• Experience with hyperscale cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Solid, practical experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
• Professional working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Lead SAP Basis work, including installations, upgrades, patches, kernel updates, system copies, and OS‑level coordination.
• Design and run SAP BTP services, covering integrations, extensions, connectivity, security, and platform lifecycle decisions.
• Analyze business and technical requirements and design solutions for identified gaps.
• Create specifications, test plans, and provide support for incidents and production issues.
• Act as a senior advisor and mentor, driving continuous improvement across teams.
