Job summary

Energize Group in Sweden is seeking an experienced robotics engineer to support development, integration and testing of advanced robotic systems for a major automotive client. This hands-on role combines software development, computer vision and hardware integration in a lab environment.

You will focus on Python, C++, and Java in a Linux environment, integrating cameras, LiDAR and sensors, and performing software and system tests. The position is 100% onsite at the client’s facility in Sweden.

Qualifications

• Hands-on robotics hardware integration experience.
• Strong programming in Python/C++/Java in Linux environments.
• Experience with computer vision and depth sensing is a plus.
• Understanding of coordinate systems, kinematics, sensors and control.

Job description

We’re looking for an experienced robotics engineer to support the development, integration and testing of advanced robotic systems for a major automotive manufacturer in Sweden.

This is a hands-on position combining software development, computer vision and hardware integration. You’ll work closely with engineers in a lab environment, take ownership of technical delivery and coordinate development activities when required.

Your focus

• Develop software using Python, C++ and Java within a Linux environment.
• Develop and integrate computer vision solutions, including object/person detection, image processing and depth sensing.
• Integrate cameras, LiDAR, sensors and motion-control components.
• Develop and execute software and system tests.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and communication issues.
• Contribute to safety assessments, verification and validation.
• Coordinate technical priorities and support the delivery of project milestones.
• Strong Python and C++ skills, alongside Java experience.
• Practical experience in robotics, embedded systems and computer vision.
• A good understanding of coordinate systems, kinematics, sensors and control.
• Experience integrating and testing hardware and software.
• Experience working with safety-critical or regulated systems.
• Professional English; Swedish is advantageous.

Experience in rail, aviation or comparable lab-based engineering environments would be particularly relevant.

• Initial duration: 12 months, with potential to extend to at least 24 months.
• Allocation: Full-time.
• Location: 100% onsite at the client’s facility in Sweden.
