Job summary

Cisco’s Webex Media engineering team in Stockholm is hiring a Software Engineering Technical Leader. You will oversee 8-12 developers, drive real-time media platform components, APIs, and cross-platform runtimes, and shape delivery with agile practices.

You will lead growth, performance reviews, and hiring while ensuring execution, quality gates, and operational health in a hybrid Stockholm setting.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• 3+ years as an engineering manager or formal people leader for software development teams.
• Strong C/C++ background.
• Native platform, real-time, or performance-sensitive software experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop 8-12 developers building real-time media platform components, APIs, and cross-platform runtime layers.
• Set direction through goals, priorities, planning, weekly check-ins, 1:1s, and follow-up.
• Own execution, delivery predictability, quality gates, operational health, and agile continuous improvement.
• Manage people growth, performance feedback, development plans, individual performance factor recommendations, salary-review input, hiring, and retention.
