Job summary

Arla Foods in Götene seeks a Senior QEHS Manager to lead a ~35-person QEHS team, focusing on safety, food safety, quality and environmental performance. You will work with site leaders to embed continuous improvement and ensure certification maintenance, while collaborating with Arla’s central QEHS network across Sweden and Finland.

You will drive a lean, proactive safety culture, manage change, and guide stakeholders in achieving regulatory and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of QEHS teams and ability to influence across functions.
• Experience with safety, quality, environment management and certifications.
• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the QEHS team of ~35 employees (team leaders, quality coordinators, QEHS specialists).
• Ensure safety as a priority while maintaining food safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Anchor lean/safety/quality culture on site and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with Sweden colleagues and Arla’s central QEHS organization; participate in the QEHS Management Network for Sweden and Finland.
• Identify causes of safety and quality challenges and drive solutions.
• Train and coach colleagues and stakeholders in QEHS.
• Support management in ensuring compliance with legislation, standards and customer requirements.

Would you like to lead the QEHS team at Arla Foods in Götene? As the Senior QEHS Manager, you will be responsible for approximately 35 employees at our site in Götene. Your team includes team leaders, quality coordinators and QEHS specialists. Through your daily leadership, you will ensure that safety first always is on top of the agenda and goes hand in hand with food safety, quality and environmental considerations and when employees work around the clock to deliver well-known brands like Bregott®, Arla® Svenskt Smör, Wästgöta Kloster®, Billinge® and our other great products.

• Collaborate closely with colleagues across Sweden and with Arla’s central QEHS organization; be part of the QEHS Management Network for Sweden and Finland.
• Support management in identifying causes of safety and quality challenges and drive solutions.

We expect you to

• Hold a university degree in food chemistry/technology, microbiology, or environmental technology.
• Bring a background from the food, pharmaceutical, or chemical industry.
• Demonstrate solid experience in food safety (e.g., HACCP, food safety culture).
• Work confidently with global customers.
• Drive change management and apply LEAN principles.
• Communicate effectively at all levels.
• Be fluent in both Swedish and English, spoken and written.
