Job summary

Kintec Global Recruitment seeks an experienced Senior Planner based in Boden, Sweden. The role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed schedules for marine oil and gas projects, utilizing Primavera P6, Deltek Fuse & Risk, and MS Project.

The candidate will mentor junior planners and manage critical-path activities across engineering, procurement, fabrication, and construction. Rotation-based work schedule and daily rate package with accommodation and flights are provided, supporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Business Management, or equivalent technical training/experience.
• 7–10 years of EPCIC experience with onshore/offshore oil & gas or power generation projects.
• Experience in LNG or topside fabrication projects preferred.
• Strong command of Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office.
• Proficient in advanced Excel features.

Responsibilities

• Perform schedule analysis using Primavera P6, Deltek Fuse & Risk, and MS Project.
• Support baseline creation during initiation/setup.
• Facilitate multi-discipline scope reviews.
• Provide schedule support and mentor junior planners.
• Develop and maintain level 3/4 schedules for marine scope installation (oil&gas).
• Produce workforce histograms and progress curves.
• Review sequences of engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning, etc.
• Identify delays and implement recovery actions.
• Create and monitor schedule compliance and variations.

Senior Planner

Location: Boden, Sweden

Assignment Type: Annually Renewable Contract

Work Schedule: 6/2 Rotation, 53 hours per week (Monday to Saturday, usually half day Saturday)

Package: Daily rate, accommodation, and rotational flights provided

Key Responsibilities

• Perform schedule analysis using project management software such as Primavera P6, Deltek Fuse & Risk, and Microsoft Project.
• Support project baseline creation during the initiation and setup phase.
• Facilitate detailed multi-discipline scope reviews.
• Provide project schedule support and mentor junior planners as required.
• Develop and maintain logically linked level 3 and level 4 activity schedules for marine scope installation projects in the oil and gas industry (pipelines, subsea, platforms, HDD) using best practices.
• Produce workforce histograms and progress and quantity curves in connection with the schedules.
• Maintain and review the sequence of engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, hook-up, commissioning, and other operations for control of critical path and overall project durations.
• Elevate and expedite operations that are delaying the schedule and analyze changes to the schedule to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Create and monitor schedule compliance, key performance factors, and provide analysis of variations to baseline data.
• Identify factors, both current and potential, that may delay the schedule. Assess actions for recovery and improvement and analyze changes to the schedule to meet unforeseen conditions.
• Lead and deliver initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction, Business Management, or equivalent technical training or experience.
• 7-10 years of EPCIC experience with onshore or offshore oil and gas or power generation related projects.
• Planning/scheduling experience for large LNG or topside fabrication projects preferred.
• Strong command of Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office software.
• Proficient in advanced Excel features (curves, histograms, dynamic tables, formulas, etc.).
• Ability to produce and maintain logically linked activity schedules according to precedence flow in EPCIC planning using best practices.
• Ability to produce and assess progress curves, histograms, variance reports, and critical paths.
• Ability to analyze project status and performance, deviations, performance factors, forecasts, and workarounds.
• Ability to produce multidisciplinary logically linked activity schedules using best industry practices.
• Strong communication skills with team members and management.
