Offensive Security Team

Truesec’s Offensive Security Team is a group of dedicated cybersecurity specialists working proactively to help organizations protect themselves against cyber breaches by identifying vulnerabilities before they are exploited. As part of this team, you’ll collaborate closely with some of the world’s top security experts, leveraging combined knowledge and experience to conduct penetration tests, security assessments, and advanced red and purple team engagements.

The work is highly technical and focuses on uncovering security weaknesses in enterprise- and cloud environments, including mobile applications, cloud platforms, IOT/OT systems, and both Linux and Microsoft infrastructures. Team members lead assignments from start to finish, maintaining direct contact with customers and driving projects alongside colleagues, all with the shared mission of making a real difference in cybersecurity and contributing to a safer digital world.

The Role

In this role, you will be part of the Offensive Security Team at Truesec, granting you the opportunity to work with some of the best security specialists in the world. As a Senior Penetration tester you will primarily conduct advanced security reviews and penetration tests as well as lead and drive the projects with a colleague. You will be leading the assignments from start to finish, meaning that you will be in close contact with our customers for initiation meetings and lead the entire testing process, as well as leading other colleagues in your team within the projects.

The assignments are performed on a technical level where you will actively look for security vulnerabilities, mostly in enterprise environments. Typical projects can be penetration testing of mobile applications, Linux and Microsoft environments, AWS, Google, and IOT/OT or advanced red and purple teaming assignments.

To succeed in this role we believe that you are a true expert in a specific area or technology and repeatedly mastermind other implementations with the ambition to make a difference.

Required Skills:

• Experience in penetration testing of enterprise environments.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities in both Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience in network-based penetration tests.
• Experience in credentials extraction and lateral movement.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities on mobile applications.
• Experience in penetration testing of IOT/OT systems.
• Ability to identify vulnerabilities in cloud environments.
• Ability to present findings to a non-technical audience.

Bonus Skills:

• Ability to understand arbitrary programming language.
• Full proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience of code assisted/code review-based penetration testing.
• Relevant security related certifications.

As a senior penetration tester, we believe that you actively stay up to date with the latest technologies or maybe you are active in several forums or networks within offensive security. At Truesec we believe in creating awareness and we continuously attend events as guests or even keynote speakers.

Due to the sensitivity in our assignments, we require Swedish citizenship, citizenship in an EU country, or a Swedish work permit.
