Job summary

Volvo Group seeks a skilled backend software engineer to join VEdge, a high-performing product team supporting manufacturing systems across Sweden and beyond. You will work with .NET 8/9, Azure Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, and CI/CD to deliver connected software services for global production sites.

You will collaborate with business and factory stakeholders, contribute to architecture decisions, and continuously improve end-user experiences and performance.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience developing backend services with .NET 8/9.
• Experience with frontend technologies like React, Angular, or Blazor.
• Experience with container-based hosting (Docker or Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of API design principles and integration patterns.
• Familiarity with MQTT or Kafka is a bonus.
• Self-driven, growth-oriented with collaboration.
• Ability to navigate multicultural, distributed environments and engage stakeholders.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services with .NET 8/9 for Volvo Group's manufacturing and digital platforms.
• Implement and integrate frontend components using React/Angular/Blazor where needed.
• Utilize Docker/Kubernetes for container-based hosting and deployment.
• Collaborate with business and factory stakeholders to support and improve software services across global sites.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and overall software delivery processes.
