Job summary

The Sigma Group in Lund is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to design, build and test mechanical parts for lab prototypes and automotive-grade samples. You will draft housings and mounting concepts while performing thermal calculations for effective cooling.

Plan and carry out NVH testing in automotive environments, ensuring compliance with automotive standards, and support the evolution from early prototypes to production-ready hardware and embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• Proven hands-on experience with mechanical designs for series products.
• Experience in automotive environments and with sensors/actuators is preferred.
• Practical, action-oriented mindset, not overly process-driven.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and test mechanical parts for lab prototypes and automotive-grade samples.
• Draft housings and mounting concepts for product components.
• Perform thermal calculations and simulations for heat budgets and cooling solutions.
• Plan and conduct NVH tests in automotive environments.
• Ensure compliance with automotive standards and support transition from prototype to production.
