Own thermal stability and mechanical reliability in a scaling deep-tech factory
At Smart High Tech, we are industrialising advanced graphene‑based materials that enable next‑generation AI systems, electronics, and data centres - where thermal performance is mission‑critical.
As we scale production, cooling performance and mechanical reliability become defining factors for quality, uptime, and efficiency.
We are looking for a Senior Maintenance Technician – Mechanical & Cooling Systems who will take ownership of this critical domain.
Your mission
You ensure that our production environment operates with stable thermal conditions and high mechanical reliability.
You are:
- technical authority in mechanical systems and cooling
- key driver of uptime, energy efficiency, and asset longevity
- central contributor to stable, scalable production
What you will do
Maintenance & operational reliability
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems, furnaces, and cooling systems
- Work across hydraulics, pneumatics, and thermal processes
- Lead advanced fault diagnosis in cooling and temperature control systems
- Monitor and ensure correct performance of temperature, flow, and pressure systems
- Prevent and manage risks such as overheating, leakage, corrosion, and reduced cooling capacity
- Maintain and update technical documentation
Continuous improvement & system performance
- Drive root cause analysis and long‑term corrective actions
- Apply reliability‑centred maintenance and predictive maintenance methods
- Improve equipment lifetime, energy efficiency, and system stability
- Identify recurring issues and implement sustainable solutions
- Act as a technical mentor within the maintenance team
New equipment & industrialisation
- Participate in installation and commissioning of new production equipment
- Lead mechanical and cooling validation in FAT and SAT
- Verify cooling circuits, thermal processes, and mechanical integrity
- Ensure systems are fully operational before production start
Key interfaces
You will work closely with:
- Facility & Maintenance Manager
- Electrical & Automation Maintenance
- Production & Engineering
- External suppliers and equipment vendors
Who you are
You combine deep technical expertise with ownership and precision.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or Cooling Systems
- Certification for refrigerant handling (F‑gas, EU 517/2014)
- Advanced knowledge in hydraulics and pneumatics
- Minimum ~8 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Strong experience with thermal processes and cooling systems
- Experience in:
- Reliability‑centred maintenance
- Predictive maintenance
- CMMS systems
- Trained in LOTO, pressurised systems, and AFS safety standards
How you work
- Analytical and systematic in troubleshooting
- Proactive in preventing failures – not just reacting to them
- Hands‑on and execution‑focused
- Structured and disciplined
- A trusted expert who elevates team capability
What we offer
This is a role for someone who wants technical ownership in a high‑performance environment.
You will:
- Own systems that directly impact product quality and production stability
- Work with advanced thermal and mechanical processes in a deep‑tech setting
- Be part of scaling a factory from development to global production
- Have real influence on uptime, efficiency, and system design
- Operate in a culture defined by competence, accountability, and execution
What success looks like
Within 6–12 months, you have:
- Established stable and reliable cooling performance across production
- Reduced failures and improved system uptime
- Increased energy efficiency and equipment lifetime
- Contributed to successful commissioning of new systems
