Job summary

Hacksaw Studios is a Stockholm-based game studio seeking an experienced Gameplay Programmer with a frontend focus to join our growing team. You will shape how our games feel, behave, and perform, working with designers, artists, and engineers to deliver engaging gameplay with high responsiveness and visual polish.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional software development experience, with several years in game industry.
• Strong experience with gameplay programming or interactive systems.
• Languages commonly used in game development: C#, C++, Haxe, TypeScript or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement gameplay systems and features for new and existing games.
• Translate game design concepts into responsive, high-quality gameplay experiences.
• Work closely with designers and product owners to iterate on gameplay and player experience.
• Maintain and extend the internal game development framework.
• Write clean, maintainable, high-performance code.
• Participate in code reviews and technical discussions within the team.
• Collaborate with engineers across teams.
