Job summary

Alight, a Stockholm-based Solar and BESS IPP, is seeking a Senior Financial Controller to lead cross-group financial controlling across entities and countries. You will work closely with the Group Chief Accountant and own group-wide reconciliations, internal controls and deviations.

The role combines advisory and hands-on accounting, coverage of consolidation and local GAAP, tax matters, and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• At least 4-5 years of qualified accounting experience.
• Group or multi-entity controlling experience with strong internal controls.
• Consolidation experience is a strong plus.
• Strong accounting and tax competence, linking subsidiary accounting to group.
• Fluent in Swedish and English.
• Based in or able to work mainly from Stockholm on a hybrid basis.

Responsibilities

• Own group-wide reconciliations, internal control checks and deviation follow-up.
• Strengthen accounting robustness, traceability and documentation.
• Ensure consolidation and local GAAP compliance across countries.
• Play a key role in the AI transformation of the accounting team.
• Lead the implementation or migration of a consolidation system.
• Mentor junior controllers and financial accountants.
• Support M&A transactions as they arise.
• Drive process improvement across AP/payments, salary and expense workflows.
• Contribute to tax processes, including VAT and transfer pricing.
