Job summary

Klarna in Stockholm is seeking a senior backend engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable payment infrastructure services. You will own services end to end, drive architecture decisions, and ensure high availability in a real-time environment.

You will work in cross-functional teams, write clean, testable Elixir or Erlang code, and contribute to observability and engineering practices. English communication expected; CV in English requested.

Qualifications

• Proven software engineering experience with Erlang or Elixir.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and fault tolerance.
• Experience building scalable, high-availability services in production.
• Familiarity with APIs, messaging, and microservices.
• Proficient in writing clean, testable code in English.
