Job summary

Wind River in Kista, Sweden, is seeking a Software Engineer - Member of Technical Staff to join the Simics Platform team. You will develop and sustain Simics device models, integrate them into virtual systems and bring-up entire virtual platforms, collaborating with product management, architects, and the Intel Simics group to expand the Simulation offerings.

You should have a strong background in embedded software with C and Python, familiar with ARM/PPC/x86 architectures, BSPs and device

Qualifications

• BS or MS in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 7+ years of embedded software development experience
• Experience with low level embedded software (e.g. BSPs and device driver) development, debugging/trouble shooting
• Strong C and Python programming skills. Be able to produce high quality code fast.
• A good grasp of computer architecture and familiarity with the major embedded hardware architecture (e.g. ARM/PPC/x86)
• Familiar with GIT and SVN.
• Good spoken and written English
• Honest and reliable
• Solid decision-making skills and judgment
• Quick learner, exhibit a high level of self-motivation and require minimal supervision
• Should be a hands‑on type of person with the initiative to dive in and do whatever is necessary to get the job completed
