We are looking for a new Senior Software Developer.

As part of Sigma Connectivity MedTech you will have a very important role in embedded software development for our customer projects, meeting with customers, helping grow the team, coaching less experienced engineers and of course having a lot of fun doing so. You will work close to our customers and with colleagues within Sigma Connectivity MedTech and other Sigma Connectivity entities. We live by the slogan "never work alone!"

Basic qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Senior Embedded Software Engineer with an overall understanding of software development for MedTech products. You have a good system view and know what works and what doesn\'t work and understand the hardware connections as well as the different building blocks in an embedded system. You also have a strong interest in embedded development and are comfortable with many different embedded platforms and operating systems. For the right candidate, 5 years of working experience is not a hard requirement. You need great communication skills both in spoken and written English. Ability to understand and interpret customer needs and transform these into a manufacturable design is essential.

We are looking for someone with the following qualifications:

• A team-oriented person who enjoys the variety of working in smaller and larger teams.
• Open-minded and have a genuine technical interest.
• 5+ years experience from embedded software development for medical device according to IEC 62304.
• You are good at communicating complex things in a simple way.
• Embedded C/C++
• Device Driver Development
• Real Time Operating Systems

Preferred additional skills, personal traits and experience

In addition experience from the following fields is an advantage:

• Experience from software development for medical device according to IEC 62304.
• Open-source development
• Configuration Management and Automatic build systems tools such as Git, Gerrit, Jenkins, Gitlab
• Connectivity standards like Bluetooth, Wifi, NFC, LTE
• Debuggers like Jlink, ST-Link, Lauterbach, Trace32
• Measuring Instruments like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
• Security Related Areas - Keys, certificates, TLS/SSL
• Bring-up of electronics hardware
• Bootloaders
• Embedded Linux & Yocto/buildroot, secure Linux (e.g. QNX etc.)
• Cloud connectivity, MQTT or REST
• Safety classified software
