Job summary
Marshall Group is seeking a Senior Embedded Developer focusing on Embedded Linux to join our Software & Platforms team. You will own driver and firmware development for our connected products, build custom Linux distributions with Yocto, and shape the platform under a small senior team.
You will work on BSPs, audio-related modules, secure functionalities, and code reviews, with opportunities to explore PoCs and improve build systems.
Qualifications
- Expert-level C for embedded systems.
- Embedded Linux development including Yocto distributions.
- Strong understanding of Linux services on devices.
- Experience with Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth and BLE in products.
- Git and build systems (Make, CMake).
- Python scripting for tooling and automation.
- Familiarity with Rust.
Responsibilities
- Develop embedded software for audio systems.
- Develop custom Linux distributions (Yocto).
- Architect board support packages (BSP).
- Innovate in audio-related module development.
- Ensure secure functionalities across products and platform.
- Implement modular code for multi-product platform.
- Present embedded software decisions to teams.
- Build PoCs to explore new ideas.
- Improve build systems and participate in code reviews.
