Job summary

Flox Robotics AB is seeking an embedded firmware engineer to design, implement, and maintain the Flox Edge firmware, ensuring energy efficiency and robust operation in harsh outdoor environments.

You will own power management, connectivity, and the reliability of devices in the field, coordinating with hardware, AI, and product teams to deliver reliable field-ready solutions.

Qualifications

• Deep embedded/firmware experience (C/C++, RTOS, low‑power design).
• Comfort debugging across the hardware–software boundary.
• Field-first reliability mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain firmware for the Flox Edge device.
• Own power management, connectivity, and device reliability in the field.
• Build the interface between sensors, audio hardware, and the AI runtime.
• Establish testing and over-the-air update processes.

You build the firmware and embedded systems at the heart of Flox Edge — the reliable, low-power foundation that lets our wildlife intelligence run autonomously, around the clock, in harsh outdoor environments.

About the role

You own the embedded layer of Flox Edge: firmware, device reliability, power management, and the hardware–software interface that everything else is built on.
