Job summary

Sharkmob, a Swedish game developer in Malmö, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to turn player behaviour data into decisions that improve experience and business success. You will analyze game data, design experiments, build predictive models, and create dashboards.

The role leverages Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Apache Beam, and Python or R, with a focus on clear communication of insights to colleagues and driving data-driven decisions across the studio.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience developing custom data models/algorithms
• Experience with production data pipelines/ETL frameworks and automation
• Background in data science applied to real-world products
• Strong analytical skills and curiosity about complex systems
• Clear communication of insights to non-data-science colleagues
• Self-motivated, proactive, with collaborative mindset

Responsibilities

• Translate complex data into actionable insights to help teams make better decisions
• Plan and lead data science projects from idea to production
• Design and analyse experiments to evaluate gameplay and business initiatives
• Build, deploy and maintain machine learning models where appropriate
• Create dashboards and visualizations communicating insights clearly
• Champion data science and evidence-based decision making across the studio
• Collaborate with design and research to drive decisions across the game
