Job summary

Ampstek in Gothenburg, Sweden is seeking an experienced Data Engineer for outbound logistics and business IT to design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines. You will work onsite in Gothenburg with logistics, business, and IT teams to enable data-driven decisions.

Requirements include 8+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, Python/Java/Scala, and experience with cloud platforms and ETL pipelines. Knowledge of logistics domain and streaming tech is a plus.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably with large-scale or sensor-based data.
• Strong SQL skills and programming experience in Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Good understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working with large and complex datasets.
• Experience in supply chain or logistics domains.
• Familiarity with Spark, Kafka, Databricks, or other streaming technologies.
• Experience using AI/ML for optimization, forecasting, or predictive analytics.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines for logistics and business data.
• Integrate data from transportation, logistics, and enterprise systems.
• Develop and optimize data models, data warehouses, and reporting solutions.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, availability, and performance across all data platforms.

• Automate processes and implement innovative data solutions to improve supply chain efficiency.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data infrastructure.
• Document data architecture, workflows, and best practices.
