Job summary

Sinch Sweden AB seeks a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines across our global portfolio. You will shape data architecture, mentor teammates, and champion modern engineering practices with a strong emphasis on AI-assisted development and autonomous workflows.

The role requires expertise in Python, Spark, SQL, ETL/ELT, and cloud data platforms (AWS/GCP). It is a hybrid position based in Stockholm with English as the corporate language.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Python, Spark, Git, CI/CD, and Docker.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude) to speed up coding, testing, and documentation while maintaining quality.
• Strong SQL and ETL/ELT development experience.
• Interest in AI technologies, AI agents, and autonomous workflows to boost data engineering productivity.
• Experience storing data in data lakes/warehouses and understanding data architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering projects, drive technical decisions, and deliver scalable, high-quality data solutions.
• Act as a technical authority, mentor team members on architecture and practices, and review code.
• Champion modern data engineering practices, automate and optimize workflows, and explore AI-powered tooling.
• Promote adoption of new tools and technologies across teams to improve productivity and data quality.
• Drive data integration across platforms to provide reliable data access.
• Contribute to pipeline development, performance, monitoring, and reliability.
