Job summary

Debageri AB is seeking an experienced Data Engineer Consultant to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines on GCP, leveraging a DevOps mindset with CI/CD and Terraform. You will collaborate with stakeholders to deliver a forward‑looking data product and lead modernization of BI/DWH platforms across Fabric, Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure.

The role requires strong data modeling skills (Kimball/Data Vault/Star Schema), and experience with migrating legacy data warehouses to cloud

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands‑on experience as a Data Engineer.
  • Proficiency in SQL Server, T‑SQL, and SSIS within traditional Microsoft BI/DWH environments.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and managing data pipeline architectures.
  • Competence in modernization/migration of legacy DWH to cloud‑based data platforms.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling techniques including Kimball, Data Vault, and star schema.
  • Solid experience with CI/CD, Git, and ability to work closely with architects and BI Developers.
  • Documented experience in analyzing ETL processes, data flows, and designing efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of modern data governance practices and tools like Microsoft Purview.
  • Exposure to Power BI and Microsoft Fabric for BI delivery and report optimization.
  • Experience in retail, supply chain, finance, or HR data domains.
Qualifications
  • Fluent in English; Swedish language skills are a plus.
  • Swedish work permit required.
