What you will do

As a Senior Cyber Security Expert, you will:

• Lead cyber security risk analysis and provide expert guidance in functional concept development.
• Develop system‑level security concepts for current, future, and legacy products.
• Collaborate with security architects, product owners, and Function Owners to craft security solutions that align with business objectives and effectively mitigate risks.
• Apply in‑depth security design knowledge to both product and system architecture.
• Identify and promote security design concepts that enable cost benefits, secure reuse of assets, and optimised risk mitigation.
• Reverse engineer complex architectures and propose solutions for identified security vulnerabilities.
• Write and document high‑level security requirements for detailed breakdown by security engineers and development teams.
• Lead and guide cross‑functional teams in delivering secure and safe products, ensuring alignment with functional safety standards.

Key Qualifications

• Expertise: Recognised as an authority within cyber security and functional safety, both within Volvo Group and externally.
• Experience: Extensive experience in cyber security architecture, risk analysis, and functional safety.
• Skills:
  • Strong background in system‑level security design and architecture.
  • Proven ability to reverse‑engineer complex systems and develop innovative security solutions.
  • Hands‑on experience documenting security requirements for large‑scale product development.
• Collaboration: Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with diverse teams including architects, product owners, and engineers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience in guiding teams to develop secure and functionally safe products.
• Demonstrated thought leadership in the field of cyber security, with a track record of publications or industry contributions.
