Job summary

Kirby Group Engineering is expanding its CSA Engineering team and recruiting an additional CSA Engineer to support large-scale hyperscale data centre projects from design coordination through construction and handover.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain high-impact experience across civil, structural and architectural packages within fast-paced data centre environments, with a multidisciplinary team and hybrid/work-site balance.

Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ post‑graduate experience in CSA engineering on large construction or data centre projects.
• Willingness to undertake site-based work in Ireland, the UK or Europe.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, site coordination and installation standards.

Responsibilities

• Review civil, structural and architectural design packages for CSA projects.
• Coordinate design information between CSA, MEP, BIM and external designers.
• Raise and track RFIs, design queries and clarifications.
• Ensure CSA design interfaces with MEP, fire stopping, building envelope and underground services.
• Participate in design coordination workshops and clash detection sessions.
• Support buildability reviews and sequencing plans.
• Ensure designs meet safety, quality and client standards from concept to IFC.
• Oversee day-to-day site activities for CSA works.
• Coordinate with structural steel, concrete, architectural and façade subcontractors.
• Monitor progress, installation quality and material compliance.
• Carry out site inspections and support QA/QC.
• Work with MEP teams to ensure interfaces between CSA and mechanical/electrical installation.
• Support Temporary Works Coordinator with reviews and checks.
• Track changes, variations and risks; escalate as needed.
• Assist in resolving site issues to avoid delays.
• Review as-built drawings, O&M docs and certification from subcontractors.
• Verify redlines, quality records and test packs before handover.
• Support close-out of snags, defects and quality observations.
• Review and approve as-built documentation.
• Update H&S files and handover packages.
• Participate in lessons-learned workshops.
