Job summary

Yubico, a leader in identity security and the creator of the YubiKey, seeks a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure across Sweden and the US. You will build secure platforms on GCP using GKE, Terraform, and CUE, while improving developer experience and CI/CD workflows.

You will join a team managing multi-tenant cloud services, implement least-privilege access controls, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience designing and operating highly-available production infrastructure.
• Deep experience with GCP or another major public cloud.
• Strong IaC experience with Terraform and Kubernetes in production.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD workflows.
• Experience with monitoring using Prometheus or Grafana.
• Knowledge of cloud networking, IAM and workload identity.
• Linux administration and scripting in Bash, Python or Go.
• Experience applying AI insights to platform development is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and operate secure infrastructure across GKE and managed GCP services.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Manage Kubernetes platform components and generate their configuration with CUE.
• Build monitoring, dashboards, and alerts with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Design least-privilege access controls and use keyless authentication for workloads.
• Evaluate technologies and make architecture decisions for shared infra.
• Build self-service infrastructure to automate processes for teams.
• Create clear platform guidance for deployment and operation of services.
• Maintain and improve CI/CD workflows with GitHub Actions.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Maintain a small footprint of specialized hardware-backed infrastructure.
