Job summary

RED Global is seeking an experienced Senior BI Developer / Data Engineer to support the modernization of a Microsoft-based data and analytics platform. The role is hands-on, focusing on SQL development, data warehousing, ETL/ELT and BI reporting in a long-term B2B freelance contract.

The candidate must be fluent in Swedish and able to collaborate with product owners and stakeholders. This position covers cross-system integrations, data modelling and platform evolution in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in software development, data engineering, or similar role.
• 5+ years of SQL database development, including stored procedures and performance optimization.
• Proven delivery of data warehouse and ETL/ELT solutions across at least two assignments.
• Strong analytical data modeling skills.
• Experience with Git, Azure DevOps or similar tools.
• Experience delivering solutions in agile teams.
• Very good spoken and written Swedish.
• SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, and Power BI.
• Dimensional modelling, Kimball, or Data Vault.
• Cloud data platform migration, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Experience in energy, utilities, or another regulated industry.

This is a hands-on role covering SQL development, data warehousing, ETL/ELT and integrations, alongside BI and reporting.

Contract: B2B freelance

Duration: ASAP to 31 October 2027, with potential extensions

Language: Fluent Swedish required
