Job summary

King in Stockholm is seeking a Senior Backend Developer to provide temporary cover within King’s Game Platform Data team. You will own reliable services, collaborate with product and engineering partners, and drive critical backend initiatives in a fast-moving environment.

This hands-on role focuses on building and maintaining telemetry data platforms, resolving production issues, and promoting strong engineering practices for quality, observability, and maintainability.

Qualifications

• Extensive backend or platform engineering experience with production systems.
• Strong fundamentals: maintainable services, high-quality code, testing and reviews.
• Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Operational mindset: incident response, monitoring, reliability improvements.
• Ability to work independently and communicate with technical and non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve backend services and platform capabilities for Telemetry Data.
• Investigate production issues and contribute to operational support.
• Collaborate with engineers, data teams, product partners, and game teams to define requirements.
• Review code, contribute to design, promote engineering practices for quality and observability.
• Document systems and procedures to support handover and continuity.
