Job summary

Truecaller in Sweden is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Backend, to lead multi-team initiatives and set engineering standards across the organization. You will balance hands-on coding with strategic leadership to ensure scalable, maintainable backend services for millions of users worldwide.

You will mentor engineers, influence priorities, and drive delivery while upholding security and performance best practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
8+ years of relevant experience with Scala, Java, or Go.
Experience with scalable, highly available, real-time distributed systems.
Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
Mentoring and leadership skills.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Experience with security best practices.
