Job summary

Lendo in Stockholm is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and evolve scalable backend services powering digital experiences for millions of customers.

You will own backend solutions end-to-end, design Go microservices, and help shape architecture within a cloud-native stack (Go, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes). The role offers ownership, collaboration with cross-functional teams, and opportunities to influence technical decisions.

Qualifications

• Several years of professional experience in backend development and production systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with Go or another strong backend language.
• Experience designing and building scalable backend systems, ideally using microservices.
• A strong understanding of software architecture, scalability and system reliability.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Git.
• Experience with CI/CD, for example GitHub Actions.
• A strong quality mindset where testing, code reviews and maintainable code are a natural part of your work.
• An understanding of how to build systems that are reliable, observable and scalable.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and optimize scalable Go microservices.
• Take end-to-end ownership of backend solutions and contribute to architecture within your domain.
• Build reliable, maintainable and well-tested services that can scale with customer and business needs.
• Work with asynchronous communication and messaging using AMQP.
• Collaborate with Product, Design and other engineers to turn customer and business needs into effective technical solutions.
• Contribute to technical discussions, architectural decisions and engineering best practices.
• Monitor and improve system performance, reliability and observability.
• Share knowledge, contribute to code reviews and continuously improve how the team works.
