Job summary

Deploja is seeking a senior backend consultant to join our consulting business in Sweden. You will work either with clients or on internal projects, employing your extensive experience to modernize large-scale systems.

The role requires hands-on leadership in distributed architectures, data migrations, and collaboration across multiple domains, with strong Go/Kotlin/Python skills and English communication. We offer engagement within our consulting practice in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience designing and operating distributed systems in production.
• Proven experience leading monolith break-out projects, service extraction initiatives, or other large-scale system modernization efforts.
• Hands-on experience planning and executing production data migrations, including ownership from design through delivery.
• Strong programming skills in Go, Kotlin and/or Python.
• Experience working with public cloud platforms (preferably GCP or similar).
• Experience working with modern AI-assisted development workflows.
• Ability to quickly understand complex systems and work across multiple domains.
• Strong communication skills in English.
