ASSA ABLOY Global Solutions is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own end-to-end backend features in cloud-native environments. You will design, build, test, and operate scalable services using Java, Kotlin, and Golang, while collaborating with frontend teams and shaping architectural direction.

You’ll work in a cross-functional team focused on secure, reliable platforms that power global access solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building backend systems in cloud-native, distributed environments.
• Strong ownership mindset and ability to take features from idea to production.
• Proficient in applying DDD, TDD, microservices, and event-driven design.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, containers, CI/CD, and modern deployment models.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality.
• Clear, thoughtful communication and willingness to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end backend features with ownership and quality.
• Build modern, scalable systems in Java, Kotlin, and Golang.
• Shape architecture and technical direction with DDD, TDD, microservices, and event-driven design.
• Lead cloud-native development on AWS with containers and serverless patterns.
• Model data across NoSQL and relational systems for performance and reliability.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and support production systems for long-term sustainability.
