Job summary

Erinion, part of the Scania Group, is building a cloud-native CMS for smart charging and energy management in commercial transport. We are seeking a Senior Backend Developer to help design and evolve Erinion Connect, collaborating with Product, Engineering, Analytics and AI teams.

You will mostly work on platform and integration engineering (about 70%), building scalable backend services with Python and TypeScript, and integrating with TMS, ERP and Telematics.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Proficient in Python and/or Node.js (TypeScript).
• Experience designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Strong understanding of software architecture and integration patterns.

Role Summary

As a Senior Backend Developer, you will play a key role in building and evolving Erinion Connect, our cloud-native Charging Management System (CMS) for smart charging and energy management in commercial transport.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, Analytics and Applied AI teams, as well as a strategic technology partner, you will design and deliver scalable backend services, integrations and cloud-native solutions that support Erinion's growth.

We're looking for an experienced engineer who combines strong backend expertise with architectural thinking. AI-assisted development tools are part of our daily workflow, but we value engineers who can independently drive technical decisions and build robust, scalable systems.

This is a backend-first role, with approximately 70% of the work focused on platform and integration engineering and the flexibility to contribute across the stack when needed.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of experience in backend software engineering.
• Strong experience with Python and/or Node.js (TypeScript).
• Experience designing and building cloud-native applications on AWS.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, distributedsystemsand integration patterns.
• Experience with PostgreSQL, DynamoDB and cloud storage solutions.
• Experience building REST APIs,microservicesand event-driven systems.
• Ability to make sound technical and architectural decisions independently.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools in day-to-day development.

Nice to have

• Experience with TMS, FMS,ERPor telematics integrations.
• Knowledge of OCPP,OCPIor EV charging technologies.
• Experience withTimescaleDB.
• Startup or scale-up experience.
