Utilifeed provides data processing and analytics solutions to district heating companies. We are a tight knit company that combines years of experience and domain knowledge in district heating with engineering rigour to provide a scalable, stable solution with innovative features.

Utilifeed is based in Gothenburg and has grown to 20 employees with customers spread across Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark.

Buildings consume approximately 40% of all energy used in the EU. District heating and cooling allow for far more efficient space heating while making it easier to add renewables to the energy supply. This role allows you to contribute to increasing the efficiency of heating grids and the flexibility they provide to the energy system.

Technical details and role.

Utilifeed’s platform is built as service based architecture in AWS and uses PostgresQL, Python, GO, kubernetes. Terraform is used for deployment.

We are looking for developers with 5+ years experience for a full time role. It is important that you enjoy collaborating with Product Owners and the rest of the development team to refine ideas and solutions. The ability to break down requirements into next steps and help extract additional requirements is an area where significant contributions can be made. Clear, regular communication is a critical aspect of efficient work and is a key aspect of this role.

You would be taking ownership of a core area of the system, implemented in Go and Postgres. It manages high data volumes with tricky access patterns. The current solution is sound but needs to be extended with our expanding product offering.

You would also be expected to assist other team members and help with mentoring as you ramp up over the first six months. There is room for contributions in other areas, for example our internal AI tooling.

We are primarily looking to add expertise to our team on the backend. Areas of particular interest are:

Nice to haves include:

• Python

Language

• English fluent -should be good enough that you can convey your ideas and have technical discussions.
• Swedish is desirable but not required.
