Job summary

GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group Company, seeks a Senior Automotive Platform Developer with deep C++ and Android platform experience to join an automotive OEM team. You will design platform-level software for infotainment and in-vehicle experiences, develop high-performance middleware, and integrate native services within Android-based environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software development with C++ expertise.
• Strong knowledge of modern C++ (C++14/17 or later).
• Deep understanding of Linux/Embedded Linux and Android architecture.
• Experience with Android Framework, AOSP, native services, Binder/IPC, AIDL and system services.
• Experience with Android NDK and C++ in embedded/automotive contexts.
• Proficient with Git, Gerrit, CI/CD and debugging/profiling tools.
• Able to diagnose cross-layer issues across application, middleware and platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop platform-level software for Android-based automotive infotainment.
• Develop high-performance C++ middleware, services and system components.
• Integrate automotive functionality into the Android platform/framework.
• Create native Android services using C++ and maintain platform APIs.
• Analyze and troubleshoot issues across stack and platforms.
• Collaborate with Android developers to ensure stable APIs and services.
• Contribute to platform architecture, design, reviews and integration.
• Optimize for performance, memory, startup time and resource use.
• Investigate complex system-level issues with logs and profiling.
• Support SIL/HIL and complete-vehicle integration and validation.
• Coordinate with system architects, HMI teams and external suppliers.
• Drive continuous improvement of architecture and software quality.
