Job summary

Mullvad is hiring a Mid-level or Senior Android Developer to join our Android app team in Gothenburg. You’ll write Kotlin and contribute to an open-source Android app built with Kotlin and Rust, with a strong emphasis on security and code signing.

You’ll collaborate with designers and platform teams to implement features, develop and maintain the codebase, and help strengthen supply-chain security while keeping privacy and performance at the core of everything we build.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge in modern Android development (Kotlin, Compose, Gradle)
• Good communication skills in English
• Curious, and not afraid to question how and why things are done

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with designers and platform teams to bring new features from ideas to reality
• Develop new features and maintain our Android codebase
• Develop with a strong focus on security, covering both code behavior and the development process, including supply-chain security and code signing
