Job summary

Luxoft is expanding its Automotive Infotainment team in Sweden, seeking an Android Infotainment Software Developer. You will implement features across Android and native layers, collaborate with UX and partners, and ensure end-to-end quality through automated and manual tests in a CI environment.

Requirements include 4+ years in Java/Kotlin, experience with AOSP, Linux, and modern architecture patterns. English proficiency and collaboration in an international setting are essential.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of software development in Java/Kotlin.
• Experience with Android Application development and AOSP build system.
• Familiarity with modern app architecture patterns (MVVM, MVP, Clean Architecture).
• Experience in Linux environments and automated tests (unit/integration).
• Experience with Git/Gerrit/Jenkins in CI/CD pipelines.
• Good English skills (written and spoken).
• Experience in Automotive/Infotainment and international collaboration.
• Collaborative work with UX/UI teams for app development.

Responsibilities

• Implement end-to-end features for infotainment Android applications across application and native layers (C++ HAL).
• Work with UX, partners, and stakeholders to deliver cohesive solutions; contribute to design, architecture, documentation, and validation.
• Participate in CI-based verification and testing, plus manual testing in rigs and cars; support R&D innovation initiatives.

You will be part of our growing organization in Sweden and will be part of developing next gen systems for the Automotive industry for the age of connected, autonomous, electric vehicles.The scope of work is the adaptation of the Android applications related to Charging and Car status for the Infotainment system to a new car platform with another screen size and orientation.

Responsibilities

• As an Android Infotainment Software Developer, you will be responsible for implementing a complete feature for the infotainment system, spanning from software development in application and native layers of Android stack which includes hardware abstraction layer in C++. You will use the latest tools and technologies available and collaborate with UX, partners and other stakeholders to define and deliver coherent end-to-end solutions. You have end-to-end responsibility including design, architecture, documentation, implementation, verification, and validation. The verification and validation of the software involve automation tests that run in CI environment, as well as manual testing in rigs and cars. As part of R&D organization you will have the opportunity to actively provide innovative solutions for our products.

SKILLS

Must have

• - Extensive experience with Android Application development.- At least 4 years of software development in Java/Kotlin.- M.Sc in Software Engineering or similar relevant experience.- Experience with AOSP and the AOSP build system.- Familiarity with modern app architectural patterns (MVP, MVVM, clean architecture).- Experience from working in a Linux environment.- Experience in developing automated unit or integration test in Java/Kotlin.- Experience in working with Git/Gerrit/Jenkins tools.- Good English skill (written and spoken).- Experience within Automotive, Infotainment and from working in an international environment.- Experience working with UX/UI team for app development.

Nice to have

- Knowledge in tools as; Jira, Car Weaver and Teamcenter.- Software development in application and native layers of Android stack which includes hardware abstraction layer in C++.- Driver's license (B-level).
