Job summary

Melt&Marble in Gothenburg, Sweden, seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Operations Specialist to scale our precision fermentation portfolio. You will coordinate external manufacturing, ensure quality controls, and align with labs, suppliers, and customers to move production from pilot to commercial volumes.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in regulated manufacturing, strong documentation discipline, and excellent English.

Qualifications

• BSc, MSc, or PhD in biotechnology, food science, chemistry, chemical engineering, supply chain, operations, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, quality, supply chain, logistics, or a related role within regulated industries.
• Solid understanding of quality systems, traceability, and compliance requirements in manufacturing (GMP, HACCP, ISO-based systems).
• Hands-on experience maintaining quality and compliance documentation (batch records, CoAs, supplier documentation, traceability).
• Experience coordinating activities with multiple external partners, suppliers, labs, or manufacturers.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes in biotech, food ingredients, or related industries.
• Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Good written and spoken English; startup-friendly, proactive.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate external manufacturing partners and track production from fermentation through testing, packaging, and delivery.
• Maintain and validate quality documentation, including batch records, specifications, CoAs, and traceability.
• Identify improvements to manufacturing, inventory, logistics, and product flow; coordinate cross-functional projects.
