Job summary

Camfil AB's Technical Center in Trosa, Sweden, is seeking a Research Engineer to join the Team Filter Materials. This on-site role involves collaboration with global factories, suppliers, and product managers, and occasional travel to Camfil sites.

You will lead and support filter-material research projects, coordinate testing with laboratories and universities, analyze emerging technologies, and help shape Camfil’s filter-media strategy.

Qualifications

• Master-level degree in Material Science, Process Engineering, or equivalent.
• English language skills (spoken and written) required due to international suppliers/customers.
• Strong project coordination skills, preferably international.
• Collaborative and communicative mindset.
• Very good Microsoft Office skills are necessary.
• Knowledge of analytical testing methods for filter materials and filters preferred.
• Prior knowledge in filtration and air filters is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support research projects in filter media development.
• Collaborate across functions with product developers, sourcing teams and labs worldwide.
• Coordinate internal and external testing with institutes and universities.
• Analyze emerging technologies and contribute to Camfil’s filter media strategy.
• Identify patentable innovations with the IP team.
• Interact with suppliers to improve or develop material grades for development projects and supply risk mitigation.

Job description

Come and work as a Research Engineer at our Technical Center in Trosa, Sweden. T his is an on-site position, and the successful candidate is expected to work primarily from our location in Trosa.

You will be part of the Team Filter Materials – we are a small and very international team with a lot of knowledge in different technology fields of filter development and manufacturing. Due to this wide mindset we support us each other to run our project successfully.

You will work in close collaboration with G roup Quality, Global Sourcing, and Global Product Managers. The position include extensive communication with our factories worldwide, as well as with our suppliers and includes occasional travelling to our Camfil sites worldwide and suppliers . We believe that you possess strong social skills as building a wide internal network is a key success factor.

Your challenge s :

• Lead and support research projects in filter media development

• Analyze cutting-edge technologies and contribute to Camfil’s f ilter media development strategy .

Your background:

• Master in Material Science or Process Engineering or similar, alternatively a long production experience and very good product knowledge.
• English language both oral and written due to our international suppliers and customers worldwide .
• Strong project coordination skills, preferably in an international context .
• A collaborative and communicative mindset .
• Very good Microsoft Office skills are necessary .
• Knowledge in analytical testing methods regarding filter materials and filters is preferable .
• Pre knowledge on filtration and air filters would be highly appreciated .
