Job summary

Stegra Boden AB is seeking a Reliability Engineer to oversee the installation and commissioning of cranes, conductor systems, monorails and other lifting equipment, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery as the plant moves from construction to stable operations.

You will develop maintenance strategies, investigate failures, and drive continuous improvements using RCA, FMEA and CMMS/EAM tools, with English communication and Swedish language preference considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or related field.
• Hands-on experience installing, commissioning, maintaining or improving the reliability of cranes or industrial lifting equipment.
• Experience from heavy industry, manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
• Good understanding of crane systems, electrical and mechanical equipment, and relevant industry standards.
• Experience with reliability methods such as RCA, FMEA and preventive or predictive maintenance, CMMS/EAM systems (e.g. SAP PM, Hexagon or Maximo).
• Good English communication skills. Swedish is an advantage.

• Work with contractors, OEMs and internal teams to deliver safe, high-quality installations.
• Prepare maintenance plans, spare parts strategies and documentation to support a smooth handover to operations.
• Investigate equipment failures, identify root causes and implement long-term improvements.
• Develop preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to increase equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Use maintenance and performance data to improve the reliability, availability and lifetime of cranes and lifting equipment.

Job description

As a Reliability Engineer, you'll help take the plant from construction to stable operations. You'll oversee the installation and commissioning of cranes, conductor systems, monorails and other lifting equipment, ensuring safe, high-quality delivery. Once the plant is running, you'll improve the reliability and performance of our lifting equipment by developing maintenance strategies, solving technical challenges and driving continuous improvements.

Specific to this role, the day-to-day tasks will include the following but as we are a growing company with very little silos between teams, other tasks might be included as well.
