Job summary

Hitachi Rail Sweden is seeking a Test Engineer to support testing activities in both laboratory and site environments. You’ll join a small local team in Solna, contributing to testing across rail signalling projects and gaining exposure to real railway systems.

Responsibilities include designing test plans, configuring lab environments, performing functional and integration tests, and reporting results. Travel to customer sites will be required as projects demand, with collaboration across

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in testing or related engineering field.
Understanding of the V-model lifecycle and requirements-based testing.
Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, Automation, or related field.
Experience with test tools, simulators, laboratory environments, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

Develop, execute, and maintain test plans, procedures, and test specifications.
Configure, operate, and maintain laboratory test environments, including simulators, hardware, and software tools.
Perform functional and integration testing in laboratory and simulated environments.
Support and execute testing activities on project sites.
Record, analyze, and report test results.
Support troubleshooting and investigation of issues identified during testing activities.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, system, and verification teams to resolve technical issues.
Ensure compliance with project requirements, safety regulations, and railway industry standards.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methods.
