Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer at our Landskrona site in Sweden. You will support product development across projects, analyze deviations, and prepare validation plans while collaborating with global teams to optimize costs and quality.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering with 4+ years in manufacturing, strong analytical skills, and CAD experience (Catia preferred). Proficiency in English is essential, Swedish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree is an asset.
• +4 years of experience in a similar manufacturing role.
• Experience in product development.
• Strong ability to analyze results from strength calculations and other advanced calculations.
• Good CAD knowledge; Catia is an asset.
• Professional knowledge of English; Swedish knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Support product development throughout the entire project.
• Analyze product deviations.
• Prepare validation plans.
• Analyze results from both internal and external testing.
• Provide technical support to other Wabtec production sites (in India, China and USA).
• Collaborate with purchasing on cost reduction initiatives.
